Signs that Your Child is Ready for Potty Training

The following is a list of signs that your child is ready for potty training. Not all, but some, should be present before beginning potty training.

Your child:

• remains dry for at least three or four hours.
• can sit for two to five minutes.
• is able to pull his pants up and down without help.
• dislikes wearing a soiled diaper.
• shows interest in using the potty or watching others use the potty.
• can tell you before he soils his diaper or pants.
• takes pride in his accomplishments.
• isn't resistant to learning to use the potty.
• has regular bowel movements at relatively predictable times.
• is aware that he has to go and can tell you before it happens.

For hands-on potty training help, register your child for a Potty Rockers™ class.
